Heike Feddern (*1963) studied painting and illustration in Pitt Moog's class at Dortmund's Fachhochschule (University of Applied Sciences). By depicting a specific situation, her pictures offer snippets of well-known and familiar stories, based upon which everyone can generate their own storyboard.
Often, a single, weird creature is the hub of all further actions on the painting, thus letting us create stories which are linked to associations and impressions from our daily lives. They are humorous, also ironic, and let the recipients have fun at watching and discovering.
After taking part at Art Karlsruhe, Art Fair Cologne and Contemporary Art Ruhr in 2010, this is now Heike Feddern's first exhibition in Munich. See you on Thursday!
