From October 22 to November 13, 2010, E324 | Raum für Kunst in co-operation with firstlines is showing a group exhibition by Maximilian Geuter, Frank Balve, and Nico Kiese. Maximilian Geuter will present a choice of works from his series 'heroes of my youth'. This series of works includes Polaroid image transfer pictures of tv show characters from the eighties, such as Angus McGuyver, Michael Knight or Colt Seavers, which many of us have fond memories of. In addition, Frank Balve and Nico Kiese will show a room-filling installation in the basement of E324. It will be an evolved version of their large installation called "Drunk" which was on display in the historic auditorium during the this years annual exhibition at the Munich Academy of Arts.
For the new installation, the basement at E324 will be "flooded" with broken tvs, in the midst of which functioning screens will be swimming like points of light, shedding light onto the chaos surrounding them. The flood scenery will be accentuated by a self-composed sound installation, a lyrical text and a film which was especially produced to be shown on these screens.
firstlines and E324 | Raum für Kunst look forward to seeing you!
